Showdown: Racing Bucky Lasek at Dirtfish Rally School – TUNED

Tuned visits Dirtfish Rally School in Snoqualmie, WA to find out what it takes to build and maintain their fleet of race-prepped Subaru rally cars. While there, Matt races 6-time X-Games Gold Medalist Bucky Lasek around one of Dirtfish’s rally stages, and the loser will have to go home barefoot.

Talking about walk of shame.. hahaha nice vid Matt, too bad 1 sec cost you a nice pair of DC’s. Ken Block would be ashamed of you hahaha
@pillarmusicrocks not top gear. Evotv, autocar, autoexpress. etc.
I just find americans so boring in general and your accent is awful =/
For Matt and the rest of the crew who made this incredible channel I’m subscribing. I’ve waited a long time for this type of content and you guys are delivering it. Matt you mate, ROCK!. Parentte, Harris, Deangelis, JF, and the rest also bring their own to it. It could be better without Alex Roy, which I’m not a fan….but for the rest of you guys Good Luck and hope you can keep the channel alive. DRIVE FTW!
@bmancodgta4 I agree, you’re retarded.
@flapecake Funny because he’s from Maine. Boom.
@TheSmokingTire haha, yeah you’ll be pushed I suppose with all the traveling around the states! Well I’ll get in contact with Chris even though its a million in one shot, but if you’re ever over here for Goodwood (another great event for Leo or Tuned) or anything else you should check out the formula ford, ultra competitive and the real starting platform for a racing career. Wouldn’t mind you having a go in my car! My site is neilwinnracing.co.uk by the way (not self promoting I promise lol)
@GRBphotos if you saw their budgets ($1,000,000 per episode) compared to ours (wont be exact but it’s in the low-four digits, not 9 digits), and you do the math, you realize that the kind of entertainment we provide versus the amount of money we have to spend is pretty impressive compared to a government-owned television show.
@nbwinn lol, going to the UK is most certainly out of the budget, so if you want to see that kind of stuff you’re going to have to talk to Chris Harris.
@GRBphotos What…like top gear? LOL everyone knows how good UK top gear is, but this isn’t tv. This is youtube. And on youtube, DRIVE brings the most professional look in the most interesting ways.
@TheSmokingTire Well I suppose they got famous due to their talent in other areas and it’s amazing how quick they convert to rally cross etc, just a shame it is so money orientated. But thats what makes it a challenge. Was thinking of writing to Drive actually, I know Alex (big Polizei fan), you should do some formula ford coverage here in the UK, if its in the budget, you’d love it! Did my first International last November at Silverstone plenty of Americans from Skip Barber, you could have a go
@Mikelaren101 We didn’t bring the raptor this time. We had a Dodge Ram 3500 Dually because we had much more gear and people than would fit in the raptor.
@dakoffran the Team O’Neil school is in New Hampshire, but they only use FWD cars. If you want AWD you have to go to Dirtfish.
@nbwinn if you want to get into racing, it REALLY helps to be famous first.
@flapecake we were driving 2007 model year cars, and they had some 2008 and 2009 hatchback STI’s there as well.
@gainusha8g I only went into first twice, ran most of the race in second, whereas bucky went into third on two occasions and first on three occasions, so yea he shifted much more than me.
@Blogullupului we had 3 mounted cameras fail on us during this shoot. One didn’t like the cold weather, another on the pedals just recorded darkness, and one flew off the car and got run over. We’re a bit disappointed with the shots as well, but when cameras fail like that there’s not much you can do.
@DMikk11 better not lose any bets, you will be walking back in mud
Awesome.. well produced, great subject matter, intelligent interviews and quality content.
If i was matt, i would take my raptor out for a spin on that course, see how it compares to the rally car
Great video, the drive channel is amazing!
this was cool. i liked the music too, during the race. and i have to notice that you don’t link the subscribe button at the end and some of the videos also get left unlinked.
@legr8est1234 Jalopnik’s working on its own show, launching in February. Stay tuned!
I think I saw/heard Bucky hit a cone @ 11:10, shouldn’t that have counted as a 3 second penalty or something? LOL
what a wast of a good pair of shoes! good show! is there anything like that school on the east coast?
@eatmydustdusteaters Got it, thanks for the info.
